Forgot to do Day 7 too…yikes
Consumption
Water - Showered for 5 minutes, drank about 8 cups of water, brushed teeth, flushed toilet a few times
Food - Bowl of cereal for breakfast, pasta and meatloaf for lunch/dinner, did not eat a ton today
Electricity - did not use basically any, at work alllll day
Gasoline - Drove to basketball practice, drove home, drove to work, drove home
Money - Payed for some of the meatloaf and pasta, but some of it was employee discount
Reduction
Did not have much of a chance to spread the word this Saturday because I was at work from 11 to 830 and had basketball right before that. However, I did have a good conversation with my mom about figuring out ways to reduce the electric bill because it was a little high last month
Sustainability
I feel that this whole week was half success, and half not really at all. I do feel like I thought about reduction and figuring out ways to make my “carbon footprint” smaller. However, I do not think I actually did as well as a job as I could have with the entire project.
Following
I see that most people thought this project was a success and that everyone had a good time in trying to reduce their consumption. I feel like everyone is now a little bit more aware of just what our everyday lives consist of and how much we take advantage of things that we have so abundantly and conveniently.
Forgot to do this thing over the weekend so I’m going to try to do them now.
Consumption
Water - Drank 5 cups of water about, 5 minute shower, brushed teeth, flushed toilet
Food - Completely forgot it was food Friday…uhhhh eat a bowl of cereal for breakfast, turkey sandwich for lunch, deep dish pizza for dinner, apple, a little pasta
Electricity - listened to my Ipod, watched a tiny bit of T.V. before I went to bed, used my phone
Gasoline - ride to school, bus home
Money - bought the deep dish pizza, hypnotist ticket
Reduction
This day was a little bit of a fail for me. I actually forgot about reducing anything all together because I was so hyped up that it was Friday and that it was the weekend now. My bad.
Sustainability
If I had thought about it, I definitely would have been able to eat less because I am so used to cutting weight for wrestling. However, I love eating…and would much rather eat a ton. I also have been still cutting back on my electronic usage especially my television and have made sure to turn it off before I go to bed so as to not leave it on all night

Everyone is doing a great job and thank you Shayla for posting pictures of me…
1) Consumption
Water - 10 minute shower, brushed teeth, flushed toilet, drank two bottles of water
Food - Cereal, banana, (here’s where I fall through) Wendy’s Baconator, french fries, diet coke, salteens, peanut butter cups (not Reese’s)
Electricity - Listened to my Ipod a lot, but only 15 minutes of T.V.!, lights in my house, only used phone once.
Gasoline - Ride to school, bus home
Money - Bought Wendy’s
2) Reduction
Today, being technology Thursday, I tried really hard to reduce my television usage. I watch a good amount of T.V. and I feel like considering it has no beneficial value whatsoever, that maybe I should try watching less. Instead I listened to music more. Still using technology, but I feel like that it’s a step down. I also reduced my phone usage. I only used it once the whole day. Half of the day was by accident because I could not find it before school, but the second half was alllll me.
3) Sustainability
I hope I am able to sustain in watching less T.V. because it is not a healthy habit. Not only does it consume a good amount of energy, but also, my theory is that it actually brainwashes students and leads them to not liking to read, becoming lazy, and therefore, less of a worker #preach. I am now going to try to only television at night when I am going to sleep.

Everyone is doing very well with this experiment and I am a little surprised because I feel like a lot of us were planning on not bothering with it, but it is good that we are all giving it a shot.
Workers arranged frozen shark carcasses at a wharf in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, Tuesday. Taiwan plans to ban shark finning, the practice of cutting of shark fins and throwing the bodies back into the ocean.
The reason I’m re-blogging this is because I was watching Mythbusters last night and they were talking about how we have been hunting and killing sharks too excessively and that it is a practice that need to be stopped. More people die by falling in the bathroom than do by getting eaten by shark as Mythbusters said so it is not like it is protecting our safety or anything by poaching them.
1) CONSUMPTION
Water - 2 minute shower, brushed teeth, drank about 5 glasses, flushed toilet, washed hands
Food - cereal with milk, chicken sandwich, apple, salteens, another chicken sandwich
Electricity - T.V., Ipod, charging phone, computer, lights
Gasoline - Ride to school, bus home
Money - NONE
2) REDUCTION
I focused on trying to reduce my water usage today. I took a very short shower hoping that I would barely use any water. I couldn’t not shower at all or I would just feel nasty so I compensated.
3) SUSTAINABILITY
There were a couple things I tried to do about changing my current regular routine. One was that, as I said before, I took a very short shower. I also once again tried to reduce my use of the computer unless for school purposes and television unless it was educational (so I watched Mythbusters). During this whole week I have really noticed that I have been getting a lot of sleep. I guess I spend way to much time dilly dallying on electronic devices when I should be doing homework.

Basically everyone on the Tumblr said they tried to reduce their water usage for this day. I guess everyone felt that this was the best and simplest way to really cut back on our water usage.

1) Consumption
Water - 5 minute shower, flushed toilet three times, brushed teeth, 6 cups of water
Food - Bowl of cereal, peanut butter and jelly sandwich, diced pears, chocolate milk, chicken with corn and green beans, and some ice cream
Electricity - Watched T.V., listened to Ipod, lights in my house, didn’t use computer until just now
Gasoline - Ride to school, bus home
Money - $2.50 for lunch, $1.61 for a iced tea
2) Reduction
Today, I really tried harder to cut back on my phone usage. I feel this would be the hardest area for me to permanently reduce so I wanted to try it. I still did text people, however, not nearly as much as I usually do.
3) Sustainability
I feel that today was a little bit of a flop for me for this whole thing because I had something in every reduction category. Although I still did not consume an incredible amount, I feel that I was not as good today as I have been for these past couple days. I am going to continue to try to use my phone less, but I do not feel it will last very long. I can try to, but I am already so accustomed to texting people so often that it is hard not too. I guess I have to TRY HARDER.

A lot of people are talking about how cutting back on social networking has allowed them to get a lot more sleep. I feel that this is completely true because I got a sweet 2 hour nap today and feel a little more rested.
